Rewiring speakers

So has anyone done it? Any helpful suggestions? I need to do it. My speakers arent wired too well (damn circuit city) so Im gonna upgrade with some bigger wire. Any help would be appreciated

What speakers are you wanting to re-wire?

Yea ive dun it. hide the wires good, and do em 1 at a time.

They are Pioneers 160w in the front and 240 in the back

Why do you need to run bigger wire on those speakers? 160W and 240W arent that much power (if u even have that much going to them).

Do you just need to clean up the install?

I am replacing those with Alpine Type S Speakers after christmas, just wondering if its worth it

well i did it only becuz the f**k nut that owned the car be4 me cut all the speakers and added them to an AMP.. the only things that hard is hiding the wires for the front doors. i used 99Cent store wire thats 14 or 18 gauge, my radio sounds pretty nice i just dont have subs hooked up... i think the RCA's on the back of the radio got mess up im not gettin any sounds from it..

If its your mids and highs... NOT WORTH IT.... =)

subs.. maybe if you are pushing a lot of W..... but you would run that wiore fresh anyway b/c it doesnt exist......

ok, decision made... I have to get new speaks cause the ones in my car are f**ked up. The dudes at Circuit city were lauging at me yesterday... so I left them a nice burnout mark next to their garage doors... Assholes....

hide the wires in the front door loom for the front speakers. looks alot better.

j/k I remember pulling off the speaker cover on my passenger door and the foam surround on the OE Pioneers was so rotted that the paper cone was hanging out. Funny stuff

yeah, Just take your time and run the wires under the carpet and whatnot.

anyone know how i could hide my speaker wire for the front doors?? i mean i got it wired and hidden but for some reason that rubber boot in the door jam just wont come loose so i could stick the wires through..

i got mine ghetto as of now, there running under the door jam taped up and what not

yea i tryed everything.. the damn rubber will not move at all and if i try to pull it back i cant it feels like its glued on or something

u can always jus b a dumbass and try goin under the carpet..it probly wont work..but u mite try if ur bord n s**t

the whole problem is gettin it from the door to the inside of the car..

i tried that as well. its filled with i think silicone or something like it. i heard that u have to take the door off and all kinds of other s**t. dont know how true it is tho.

my bad i wusnt payin attention..if u got the power locks n windows and s**t jus use thoses holes..jus make sure it dont get caught in the hidge or sumthing dumbass like that..o and use butt connects tho..reg tape turns ta s**t after a while..
