Right side speakers out?!

So when i plug my ipod into my headunit the whole right side speakers will not work what could cause this?
But when i play a cd all speakers work.. So if anyone could help thanks so much!

Well An i pod has a mono speaker so its made for playing with just one output. I think you can go into your settings though and change that. I had this problem with my old cel phone no matter what head phones i got only one would work. So i would check the settings on the i pod and then the cars head unit and work from there good luck.
