Rolling rear fenders

K, as most of you probably know I just put 17's on. When I go over a bump the rear tires rub ever so lightly on the rear fenders. I know I've heard of people doing it so how do I roll the rear fenders? I think I remember one buy saying he use a baseball bat? So do I just bend the lip up, is that all rolling the fender is?
thanks
L.

ya... but if you have the money (or the talent) i would get them tucked and rolled. have a body shop do it. but if you don't have money or talent (like me) then use a bat. =)

i don't know exactly how but as i understand, you put the bat between your fender and your wheel and pull up at the same time roll your car back and forth to bend the fender out. don't do it too much in one spot and do alot more searching for you start to do that.

i think you just start at the rear and let your car roll back once and that should do it. Most car shops around here wont do it incase they damage it, but i have never tried mine.

Search the How to and the how to/DIY on other sites if there isnt one here. Ive seen one somewhere before.

Personally I had that problem with my 17s at first too, but I just run -1 degree of camber in the back and rotate my tires every 3k or so at my oil changes so the tires dont get worn down too much :D

ZimZimma13, yeah it just rubs when I go over bumps. It rumbs on the rubber in the wheels wells. Is that what yours did/does and is yours still doing it? I think tomorrow I'm just gonna gut under there with some pliers and try to bend it up a little cuz mine isn't rubbin to bad.

Mine was rubbing that little lip that there is on the wheel well, like if you reach underneath it sorta sticks out a little bit, so the -1 degree camber took care of clearing that for me. It depends on the offset of your wheels if yours will be solved by doing the same thing I did.

Uh.. rolling your car back and forth? Baseball bat?! I didn't do that with my fenders... the only thing my friend and I did was use some heavy duty wire cutters (they're not wire cutters but I hope you get the idea), we cut the fender (6 inches total in length--- just along the area it was rubbing) made an incision every 2 inches or so and used a hammer to fold the fender on itself. I've only had to do one side... maybe my alignment has something to do with it, but it got the job done so I'm happy.
