i'm not sure if you're going for a customized look or not. when i first got my EK4 i thought the dome light was too dim as well. instead of changing to leds i just replaced the blown 5W bulb with an 8W one. i've been using it for almost a year with absolutely no problem. it's very nice and i have no trouble seeing throughout the cabin at night. hope this helps.
