Hello fellow clubcivic members. I have a 97 dx sedan with a b18c swap with p73 ecu and its been running rich for some time. I dont drive it its just parked for that reason.
What I have tired:
Cap & Rotor
Fuel Pressure Test (FPR ok)
MAP ok
TPS ok
Valve Lash Adjustment
HO1S & H02S Replaced
I know that it is still running rich because I got MIL code P0172:fuel system too rich. And my short and long term fuel trims are between -14% to -22%
According to shop manual this is caused by:
FPR
Fuel return pipe clogged
Fuel injector leaking
Gasoline not to spec
Primars H02S deteriorated
Valve clearance
I assume that the fuel return pipe is the fuel rail yet I am not sure how I would test to see if it is clogged
Through the fuel pressure test I rule out FPR and leaking injectors. Gasoline has been sitting for about a month but last time i filled up I used an additive to prolong its life.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
