Yeah, just put the key in run position and hit the button!kingstonrock said:With the start button, you have to put the key in the run position and then hit the button? Is that how it works in the s2000 too? Seems like kind of a hassle..
kingstonrock said:The start button idea is so cool, I'm trying to think of a way to avoid needing the key but still keeping it secure. Could you set-up your alarm (it would have to be aftermarket) to only allowing starting when the alarm has been deactivated with the remote? Is that basically what starter-kill is? It seems like not having the key is the thief's least worry anyway. It's a pretty easy problem to get around, at least on civics. Coupled with a fuel-pump kill-switch, it seems like a pretty secure set-up, even without using the key..

lol, it does sound retarded, but the more i think about it, it might confuse the s**t out of the theif. I dont know. I wonder if it would be difficult to set-up something like that high-end benz. Once your key fob is in range the car unlocks automatically and you just need to hit start to make it run..Mask0rz said:it sounds a little bit unsafe, i think i'll stick with the key!
it's cool when you let the passenger hit the start button so it will run..... hehehe!
coming from honda id lay money on it being more than $30Mask0rz said:Yeah, just put the key in run position and hit the button!

u could do that but any installer knows how to get past a starter kill, 2 snips of some wires and your shits gone so i wouldn't risk it, keep the key and push the button, thats sweet as hell, my friend did it in his accordkingstonrock said:The start button idea is so cool, I'm trying to think of a way to avoid needing the key but still keeping it secure.
