Hey CC my friend has an 90 teg with a turbo kit on it and hes running a safc hack and for some reason when you take off on his car normal when you reach about 3500rpms it starts to sputter what could this be not tuned right?? hes running 450 cc injectors so what can we do to stop the sputter. Also when your at a stop when you floor it in neutral it sputters around 3500-3900 for a few secs then it revs on up. What could we tweak and tune on the safc2 controller?? Im going to run one on my 00 si 2 but its vafc 1 could it be the fuel map set up????

x2 im 90% positive that you're running rich because mine did that. all i did was lean it out a bit and it was fine, except for my fuel pump

i had the same problem with my safc hack for a bit. it would feel like vtec engaging and pull hard after 3500rpm. also i would recommend selling the afc and get a chipped ecu and run crome. way more reliable then running the old school afc hack.

the afc hack produces a nasty transition between vaccume and boost. its because it works by manipulating the map sensor signal, and b/c when its 0 (the transition) it gets really screwed up, and dumps fuel in. theres no way to get rid of it except to get some real engine managment.

a missing link makes it so the afc doesnt see the transition.
