vafc is for vtec motors, controls vtec along with air and fuel

safc and the vafc are essentially the same thing, the vafc just has the added feature of being able to mess with vtec engagment points. they are both obsolete, 6 years ago they were a viable tuning tool, but not anymore. 10 psi is too much to run, as they have NO timing control, you will be running way too much timing advance to be safe. if you HAVE to run a safc, keep it to as low boost as humanly possible. socketed ecu's with crome are cheaper and FAR more effective tuning tools.

mikes suggestion is the best. just get the software and start practicing. make pgmfi your new home and talk to reputable motor builders and TRY to find out there tuning secrets.

thats what ive done and im learning more than a mile a minute.

to understand tuning, you really have to understand motors. there dynamics, physics, and internal properties.
