hey everyone whats up , my roomate recently ditched nitrous and turboed his Eco-tec , meaning i must do the same (i WILL not tolerate loosing to a stock ecotec with a turbo) so heres my platform , laugh if u want i like it , D16Z6 bored 20 over with 10.5 srp pistons(chainging out to wiseco 9:1 next month) scat 4340 rods , comp nitrous/tubo cam full banlance job, skunk2 intake , edelbrock tb , unerdrive pulleys on crank and ps/alt,mild head work , i was wondering the limit of the block cuz i dont think my rods/pistons are an issue, i been looking at the REV HARD stage 2 kit , this car is my daily driver so im wanting to keep it FAIRLY tame for daily street use , any suggestions would be appreciated , oh and for future reference just cuz a 40 yr old chick in the porsche SUV looks slow , dont try her , she will win

An ecotec with a turbo is not stock. & the ECO will still own you off the line & depending on what the both of you boost hell prolly own you top end.

well when it was motor vs motor i got him , nitrous vs nitrous i thrashed him also , and his kit is putting out only 5 lbs so im pretty sure a good kit would do the same as the nitrous and all motor races we had

if you're gonna boost, do it right the first time. boost dependant regulators are very shitty on more then 5lbs of boost. I dont like the FMU's at all even if you're just running 5lbs. get injectors and a good EMS with a good tune and you'll be killing your friend all day long.

what about the Graddy Emanage ? ive heard mixed things about it , but im a new guy to this turbo thing, so i Do wanna do it right the first time , i can get a reputable tuner to tune it for me so thats a plus but i dont wanna go the cheap way i wanna go the good way , usually cheap and good arent 2 words associated together

go with 450cc dsm injectors and run either uberdata or chrome. its a cheap solution and also good. same thing as hondata just without the price tag

e-manage for the greddy kit is good for the 5-6psi that it was set for. if you turn up the boost it throws that e-manage all out of whack and makes it pointless. get hondata/uberdata/chrome for an engine managment system, you will be spending about 2-300 on tuning alone though.

O yea and the limit of your block is prob close to the 300whp range with a good tune and the 9 to 1 pistons in..
