I just got my Sirius Radio put in and I have to say it's really awesome. My gf got it for me for our 6yr annv. The sound is great and I would highly recommend it. Although, when you go under a large bridge you do lose the signal for a second. I guess you should expect it since the satellite doesn't connect through all that metal.

We're gonna get it for my gf's car too in a few weeks when we have time to get her new HU installed.

Comments welcome :D

I was thinking about getting sattelite radio... at first the whole subscription thing threw me off... but 12.95 a month for sirius really isn't that bad. how are the stations? commercials? hm, and what unit did you get?

Well I paid for one year in advance so you get one month free. My installer told me that Sirius is picky and if you're late, they turn it off quick. So I just did the one year so I wouldn't have to think about it. The unit was installed and I went online to activate and it was on when I walked back to the car. I like the all the choices. I still listen to the radio, but satellite is so clear. Although, you do lose the signal when you go under a bridge or in a tunnel, but that is expected.

No commercials so far. The stations always remind you that you are listening to Sirius radio every now and again. As for the unit, I just had to get the add on tuner and antenna since my HU is already satellite compatible. And when we get my gf's installed, her unit will only be 6.99/ month. You also get streaming radio to your computer as well.

i dont like radio, i like being able to listen to what i want when i want and being anble to ff and rewind.
and i dont like the monthly charges or the ugly antena that comes with most systems so i'd have to pay extra for an interior one....

but glad you like it :thumbs up

That's kind of how I feel. I use to sell XM and Sirius and, for the type of music I listen to, they enver played. But glad you are enjoying it. We use to sell a lot of both companies.

Awesome... Of course... Satellite radio is better than your usual tuner stations provided from a regular headunit.. Only thing I don't like about any of the providers is the fact that you have to purchase a funky looking antenna that mounts in certian undesirable places. Other than that... :thumbs up

with all modles EXCEPT ONE you have to buy an adapter, tuner and antenna. Their newest has it all bulit in.

As for the external mounting of the antenna... screw that! I mounted mine on the dash of my EG. pick up FINE. just make sure no tint or objects are blocking the antenna. It works off of Line-Of-Sight. If it/you can see the satallite/sky, you are not going to be able to hear Hillery Duffs greatest newest song

fir all XMers Squizz 8) \m/ (O_o) \m/

about $50. + $20. for the antenna.

Double that at Incredible Rip-off Universe or House of 10,000 cel phones and two car stereos (Car Toys)

most sites have it listed as discontinued so I'll wait for it to come down below $30.00 or see what else Kenwood comes up with first.

All good feedback.

Well, my tuner came with the antenna. The new antennas are a lot smaller and lower profiled. I have mine mounted to the trunk lid. I was planning to put it on the roof, but the installer said it would mess with my molding.

That is the EZ700. We're gonna get that model for my gf's 04 Ex.

s**t,,,the new antenna's are so small you forget they are even there eventually. The xm antennas are smaller than the sirius. You don't have to mount them ontop of the car or attach them to metal anymore. You can put them on the dash or rear deck.
