So I recently bought two 10' inch subs, an amp, and new speakers. Hooked up and wired everything through my 99 civic. The CD player I have in there is a JVC player that's a couple years old. It has controls on it for my subs but it has no RCA inputs or outputs on it. I was reading in the amp wiring kit instructions and it said if I didn't have RCA inputs/outputs on my CD player don't splice the wires just buy the adapter. I'm not much of a sound guy so they recommended this part called Scosche LOC-80. I looked at it and bought it out of impulse cause its the part I needed and that has been recommenced. I bought it off Crutchfield.com and they are usually good with giving instructions with the product. I'm wondering how this adapter will work? Anyone know how this works? My two cents are that my cd player wire harness has the speaker wires going to my head unit. I feel like the adapter would want me to splice those, wire the speaker wires to the new adapter and then the amp RCA cables to the new adapter. But then how would the speaker wires go to my head unit? I'm a little confused and if anyone can throw me a bone that would be greatly appreciated! Especially if someone has a DIY or instructions on how this adapter works and wires up. Thanks a lot!
