Sedan rear window ?

I have a 97 civic 4door LX, does anyone know if there is any way to get the rear windows to go all the way down. is there a lock or stopper on the inside of the door. id like to know before i go rippin my doors apart. thnx

There isn't a way. The rear doors are not big enough to roll the window all the way down. If you look at the doors they have that curve at the bottom rear that the front doors dont. The windows don't roll all the way down because there simply isn't anywhere for the window to roll down to. I guess you could roll it all the way down if you do some mods to the gears that lower it and cut a hole in the window in the shape of that curve. But then again you'd have a hole in your window, and who'd want that?

Tru, most cars have a stopper you can just remove inside the door, Unfortunatly our sedans...don't have that luxury.

this is one reason why i liked my crv. the back windows went all the way down. but then again i bought it while i was stationed in germany.
