Sedan warming up a little too much

Hi my name is Mickey and I am new here. After a long period that I impressed and learn from this forum, I decided to sign up.
I have a 99 Civic sedan and recently automatic temperature gauge shows a little more than it should. (Almost half)
Radiator was replaced a week ago to renew (because the problem) and this weekend I'm going to replace all new water pipes. (Upper radiator hose hard as a rock).
The fan works properly, and I have no idea how to solve the problem.

]Here's a picture of the temperature gauge. Would love to get help
Thanks in advance

Mine doesn't make it to 50% maybe you left a little air in the system when you filled it. Did you have the heater on and let the car get up to operating temp with the radiator fully topped off, before putting the cap on?

^^This. And it would be a good idea to replace the thermostat anyway while you do the hoses.

Is Trmostat can get stuck half closed?
After replacing the radiator, the air been drained out,
Could it be that the water pump?
