sensor prob

i have a problom with one of the sensors on the throttle body and i cant fuigure it out

heres what it is doing when the car is running i touch the wire on the sensor on the back of the throttle body (i dont know what is called) and the car will bog down and some times stall but if i unplug it the check engine light comes on and the car idols up and runs fine....

any feedback would be very helpful because im stumpped

that is your IACV, and no it isnt not running fine when you unplug it, if you were to take it for a spin with it unplugged it would feel like it wants to die everytime you switch gears...my opinion is if it runs fine when you dont touch it, then leave it alone lol.... take the whole valve off and clean it

I tried cleaning the
prong but you can't acualy take the sensor off how would I clean it futher than just the connections

take the whole control valve off, i think its 2 bolts holding it on, then pour in some sensor cleaner or maf cleaner and let it sit and then drain, repeat if necessary, also check the cooling line nipples on it, sometimes they get clogged with radiator grime and can cause the sensor to overheat, you will see the nipples and cooling lines when you take it off

What do you mean by control valve where would that be located

Deadswitch. He says he can't take the sensor off and it's on the back of the throttle body, not the back of the intake manifold. It's not the IACV he's talking about, he's talking about his Throttle Positioning Sensor.

update i tryed de pinning the sensors and cleaned them and it runs a little bit better i think the problom is a little deeper than the sensor..
