ok so ive had my civic for a few months and it has done this on and off, with the front seats both passenger and driver, when u clip in the seatbelts, it just POPS out, all u hear is *Cliiink* and u see the seatbelt fly accross ur face, they unlatch if you even as much as move around, does honda still fix all their seatbelts for free? or am i going to have to pay for them? btw, lol getting a job at a honda dealership, mechanic work, oil changes, and detailing

yes honda does still waranties seatbelts for life of the car, unless owner destroyed them somehow, but just go to a dealer and they will take care of you.

f**kin bs, i took my car to honda the other day, they chargde me 40$ just to clip in my seatbelt and tell me its fine, i just have to push down hard, and seatbelts are only warrantied for 5 years after date of original purchase. but who cares, because im trading my car in next week for an IS300 5speed LOL no more SOHC 4 me

lol, IS300 is a nice ride, but I always thought that the manufacturer was required to warranty seatbelts for the life of the car. Maybe that's just some made up internet rumor though, b/c i've never had a problem with seat belts.

As far as I knew they had to warranty them. This is news to me.

I am almost 100% sure that all safety equipment has to be fixed free of charge unless the owner tampered with it. I would call Honda direct and let them know or find out.
