On ebay they have type r shift boots, the one with red stitching, and then they have the fake ones that are half the price, and also come with a e-brake boot... but it doesn't come with the bracket... Is the real thing really worth the few extra bucks? I mean a shift boot is a shift boot right?

Um, I haven't seen the quality of the fake ones, but I do know the real Type-R ones are REAL leather, and they have a really good look and feel, and an OEM quality top ring. Not having a bracket isn't a problem, you can mate a boot to just about any stock honda bracket, I just put my OEM boot and knob on my cousin's 92 accord (you know, the one with the SQUARE shiftknob). So I dunno about the quality, but I personally think that e-brake boots look crappy, and the real thing is worth it.
