Shifter prolems

I want to do something with my shifter, I'm thinking about making a cover for it like the Ferrari's have. but I know I'm gonna have to find some way to skinnify my stock shifter, It's too thick, the Ferrari ones are tiny. I'll think of something, any suggestions?

you have to have a gearbox thats set up for that, on the rod shift that i have i KNOW i'd miss gears all the time w/ something like that, now if you don't plan on ramming gears anytime in your cars life then sure do it, sounds like more of a hassle to me

I don't "ram" my gears most of the time, I know my car is slow, so I don't try to drive it like it's fast, not to mention that gas is $3 a gallon..... except through turns, but then I don't do too much hard shifting.. I just thought it might look cool.
