shifting problems

i hav a 2004 civic sir hatch and when the engine is running i cant shift and when i push the clutch in some time it starts to make a winding or howlling sound , it starts off slow and get faster . if u have any info as to what my problem is it would be greatly appreacheated thanks guys

How many miles on the car? Sounds like the throw out bearing. If its time for a new clutch then I would do throw out bearing, pilot bearing, and new clutch kit.
