I bought my 98 coupe ex that already had a viper alarm system in it. All of it works fine except that it doesnt give off any sound..i can press the alarm button and the lights blink but no sound..how can i get sound?

Ummmm is the SPEAKER still hooked up? Have you checked anything yet... We can only e-diagnose if you give us SOMETHING to work with sir.........

check positive siren wire on the module and check the ground for the siren.. located the siren.. try to feel if it was wet.. whenever water gets in contact with sirens.. they seem to not work but after they dry off.. most of the time they will work again. if something is wrong with the siren, a new one is only about $5 and its a simple install.. most are only 2 wires.

I think that you can turn the chirp back on using the remote, and hitting certain buttons in a certain order. At least that is true on my 300ESP.
is there and led that is on solid, if it is it in valet mode. to get out of valet look for the valet button should be a black button, probaly mounted under the dash or on the kickpanel, once you find it, turn the ignition on then off, then press the button, the led should turn off and it should fully arm. if that dosent work, check to see if a siren is hooked up to it, it may be disconnected.
where would the wiring of the alarm be?
