What brand of struts were in there and what brand(s) did you try to fit in? Is it possible to contact the previous owner?

It's a factory Honda shock but not for my car I'm guessing whoever had car before me changed wishbones I'm might just go to junk yard today and get stock wishbones for my car, but I been searching and the wishbone on my car may be off 88-91 crx or 90-93 integral what do you think?

As far as I know, it would make more sense for it to be from a 2nd gen. Integra ('90-'93) than a 4th gen. Civic or CRX ('88-'91). Only the previous owner will know which one it is and why they did it. I would guess it'd be from an Integra being more of a performance design as I know no benefit that a 4th gen Civic suspension has over a 6th gen. Then again, he could've been in desperate need and only found one of them, or just had them laying around. Guesswork wont help your situation, so I agree to junkyard search for the factory parts you need and never worry again.

If you confirmed that the shock mounts are not from your year/make/model, I would definitely recommend that you replace them with the original parts from a salvage yard if possible. You'll have better luck with the price if you do the removal yourself vs. going to a dismantling yard and sells it to you over the counter.

That bracket looks like it come off a lx model. I have one and I just done my shocks and that's what mine looks. See the notch in the bottom that's what it would look like for that bracket. IMG_20151105_173851.jpg

That notch is used to align the shock to the shock fork so the brake line mount is positioned correctly.
