Should I Buy It?

I found a guy, who offered me his 86 Civic SI hatchback. He said he just put on new tires 12,XXX miles ago, and that it has a 4 year old clutch, a year and a half old alternator, and a new timing chain/belt. All I would have to do with it would be replace the valves (which he reports are bent) and/or cylinder head (assuming the interior isn't crappy -- haven't had a chance to go look at it yet).

He offered $50 for it, which I know would be a DAMN GOOD deal for most people, but I want to know if it would be a good buy (i.e, is it a reliable car, are parts rare, etc).

Even if you just scraped the car you'll be turning the 50 bucks into a couple hundred so hop on that deal

LOL
My dad once bought a car for $50. He then sold it for 250 an hour later. That guy sold it only 30 min later for 300. From what i heard that guy sold the wheels for 200 and fixed the car and kept it.
