should i go for 16inch or 17inch rims on my civic 2000

hello guys... i was going to buy 17inch light weight lenso rims... but a friend told me not to buy 17inch , he said i should go for 16inch... he said in 17inch the drive of my car would not be smooth... i am confused , need help...

The bigger the rim, the smaller the profile of the tire. 17 tends to hit "bumpy" territory, though some people don't seem to mind. You'll find mostly around here, people stick with OEM alloy sizes, 15", and the "sweet spot" is 16". Just find something you like, do some research on tire sizes to fit and you should be able to track down your answer.

I had 17's, and I stepped down to 16's. Much smoother with the beefier tires.

I'd go with 16"s but it looks like you've already made up your mind prior to asking...

My civic got terrible gas mileage with 17's on it. Good luck with that.

i havent picked them up from the shop till now , can change the size anything... i have decided 16s.... 195 or 205 , and 45 or 40 profile ???

I'd go with at least 45, unless you want to feel every bump on the road.

Good call going with 16's, you'll be happier. 17's look goofy if the car isn't lowered too.

the car will be dropped =) the fender and tyres would only have a finger gap..
