Im going to swap my 99 EX engine for a 99-00 si engine. is this a easy swap and is it worth it? what is the si engines top speed without the rev limiter in it?

it says 140, so prolly like 130 maybe 135......the swap is worth it...but y not just go with a B18C5(Type R) if you want some awesome NA power or the B18C1(GSR) if you wanna turbo

the b16 should replace your d16 with no problems. if you can get a good deal on it, you might as well go for it. its probably the easiest swap you can do (b16 into a 96-00 civic). if your going to spend quite a bit of cash though, you might be better off going with the b18 like they ^^^ said. that swap is probably just as easy and they you would have an edge over the b16 si's, instead of just running with the si pack. then again, the 1.8L will cost you more though....

Since you're not in cali (no smog worries) go with b18c1. Hell, if I weren't in cali I'd just go for a jdm b18c.

Good choice on the swap...Ive got both a 99 ex and a 00 Si, and the B16 is quality.

Funny thing though, I raced my bro(00 Si) and I was in the Ex and I kept up and maybe a little ahead of him til he hit about 6000 in 3rd...that's when the Si pulls better.

But I would agree...if you can possible get a better swap...there use to be a link to a page that gave out swappable engines??? Don't know where that went, but look into getting a better engine!

go b18c5 unless your planning on doing internals on the b18c1. b16 is ok, not so reliable. d16 is strong reliable engine, good for playing around with, but no DOHC. if you want dohc and are looking to turbo or do some bolt ons, go b16 then.
