K i'm thinking about getting either an si or a cx 94 HB. alot of ppl say that the si is the better car, i agree. However i'm planing on doing a swap to a B18c5 and i know the cx is lighter so ultimatley it would be faster then the si, can i hear your guys opinions on the two?

yea i was concidering that too, but i'm probably gunna go all motor for a year or 2 this swap is gunna cost me a hella lot of money and i can't afford turbo any time soon, so i'm gunna go with the c5, and i'm looking into any 5th gen si (92-95)

If you plan on using the car to drag then get the cx. It all comes down to you really.

if u plan on goin turbo its prob better to go C1 cuz it is more mod friendly than the C5 and u can build up the internals to make it more reliable

fyi, a gsr and a used turbo kit and a hondata and all the required extras can still easily be less than a c5 swap alone if you shop around. and for absolute performance, cx is better because its lighter, has a smaller gas tank, etc. but for comfort and immediate performance (stock cx suspension sucks nuts) si is a better choice, and most of the weight difference can be stripped out, except the sunroof.

if you're gonna swap anyways then just get the cx. the si is gonna cost you more than the cx then you're throwing a vtec engine away for another vtec engine that has one more cam. so might as well buy the cheaper cx so you'll be throwing a non vtec engine away for a dohc vtec motor.

There is a lot of convience in not having to reach over the passenger side to roll down the window. I just like options.

Did you not pay attention to what was said????? You can get a b18c1 and a turbo, for less than a c5... so why would you go the c5 route and spend more money????

Get the Si, I have a 95 and love it. The si has rear disc breaks, as opposed to the CX's drum. Si also has front and rear sway bars, 21 and 13mm, respectively to help with body roll. Unless you plan to do a rear-disc conversion and install sway bars, get the Si.
