si window brake light

Is the rear window brake light supposed to light up on the 99-00 Si with the OEM wing? Or does the wing just light up instead of its place? I got a new SI and couldnt remember what my last one did..
Hear is the switch for the light with nothing plugged into it..

not with the wing on....with the wing on, only the tail lights and the wing light up..if you have no wing, then the rear window lights up

No, I know on my '98 EJ8 (which has an OEM spoiler) that there is one cable back there that supplies power (I imagine they used the same wire harness). There are two plugs that both match up to the power cable. One plug goes to the spoiler, one goes to the third brake light mounted in the window. You can only have one plugged in at a time. I crawled around my trunk awhile back and confirmed this.

PS - That's the other plug and power cable pictured at the top of your image. You can see they're plugged into each other. With some working you can unplug it and plug it into the high mount brake light instead to see for yourself.

2nd, Correct, the OEM spoiler I BELIEVE uses the same power lead as the brake light in the window thus making your window 3rd brake light not functional.

Wow... I must be getting used to ClubCivic (or the internets in general). I didn't even notice it said break light. Wait... you want me to brake what?

And yes Joe, I confirmed the same power cable is used for both the spoiler light and center brake light. It's even in the photo he posted. The plug for the center light is the black plug, the white plug goes to the spoiler light, and the pink plug is the plug on the power cable.
