I have an LX and am tired of losing to passats off the line. Ya I know drop a B16 in it or just get something different. But I can't. I'm poor and newly married But what can I add to get that little extra umfff off the line? I have intake, exhaust w/ 2.5 piping, and thats pretty much it. And yeah its an auto. I have everything going againest me, LX, auto, 4 door.

fyi, autos dont have flywheels. they have flex plates.

Honestly, if it's an auto LX I can't see much power being put into it. Yeah, there's turbo and NOS, but is it really worth it? Maybe you can sell your car and use the money you get to purchase a new/used car. Congrats on being married. I can't picture myself being married because it sorta reminds me of prison - thanks to that one Simpsons episode. The episode where that Judge Judy lady tells Homer that he has to stay married to that Las Vegas wife. Then when the bailiff puts the second wedding ring on Homer's ring finger it made a prison door closing sound. *shutters*

putting turbo on a D wouldnt help much and be a waste of money. if your cheap and you want speed, you have to go N2O. you will be hitting high 14s on a auto.

I have an auto LX too.. but I'm gonna swap to H22. If i were to pump the D16Y7 i'll get the intake & exhaust done with higher compression pistons, pulleys, cam,inyecctors...maybe a mini-me?

Could be $1,000.. not sure tho.. could be more or less.. and also you can get the D16Y8 tranny wich is a great upgrade for the D16Y7.
