Side markers jacked! Proxy alarm advice?

I recently moved into a new neighborhood. My sidemarkers lasted about 3 months. Anyway, I noticed another neighborhood ej8 got hit pretty hard about 2 months ago. It had its head lights, grill, front lip, rear lip, & side markers jacked. I guess I'm lucky my car didn't get hit that hard. I'm thinking about what I should do to protect my ride. I have an expensive sway bar set up that should be going under my car soon. My car is parked on the street. I don't have a proxy alarm, so new side markers would get jacked again eventually. I don't think there is a way to prevent them from getting taken unless I have a proxy alarm. I'm also kinda paranoid that a sway bar wouldn't be hard to steal if the thief knew what he was doing. I need protection!

What is the cheapest proxy alarm I can buy? Can I do the installation my self. I'm pretty good at electrical wiring.

Sorry to hear that, where is your room? Before I moved, I would park my car next to my room and leave my windows open. Its very quiet at night and you could hear everything. As for the alarm installation, I know a few people that do it themselves, my cousin did it to his car all on his own with no problems, and it was a older car, a Datsun 510.

i would get a hub, quick release, auto lock for clutch. alarm is a peice of shiet unless you are a light sleeper. =)

Hes right, but a quick release will protect your car but not your parts...

and a hub lock, gonna need that. People do carry extra ECUs and steering wheels and in my town people still get jacked in public places.
