just wanted to get opinions if it would be better to have the clear side markers on my 96 coupe or not. i'm doing the 99 conversion and my civic's gonna be all dark green color with the red clear tails and black housing headlights. i'll have some pics soon but right now it's still in the body shop. but just wanted to get some opinions..i think it looks nice coz my car's nothing but all dark colors, but i just want to be sure. thanks!

I would do i to...but if u wanna go for the authentic look to it i think u shouldn't use the clear ones but get the amber ones..amber looks sweet on dark cars
if you are going to get clear side markers, dont get aftermarkets. most aftermarket side markers are ugly. i suggest getting the ep3 side markers which is clear or get the clear s2k side markers. there is nothing better then OEM.
Don't mean to jack, but I'm kinda debating on the same topic. I've already got the JDM Stanley orange side markers, however I have the dual halo angel eye projectors. Think they would look alright? I'm also planning on putting amber corner bulbs back in... peep the sig you'll understand (the corners are hyper white at the moment).

Side markers should be amber IMO
yah i understand amber looks nice coz it's jdm and all..but my civic's dark green...with red clear tails, and headlights with black housing...so all the colors in my ride are dark green, red and white. i even changed my rear turn signal bulbs to red bulbs. so i'm not really sure if amber's gonna match my ride. so clear will probably look aight on it. but i'm still open for opinions. i'll post some pics of my civic this weekend..thanks guys!
search in the ephatch.com forum. the new si sidemarkers looks clean. if i had to chose a clear side marker, the ep3 side markers are the best looking ones. for the s2k, you can find them on ebay, the clear s2k side markers are jdm so it is harder to get.

I guess really it depends on the color scheme of your car and also the color of your car. Mine is green so I think that the clears look better. I don't think the amber/green scheme looks very good together. But on white civics it looks good. I think the sidemarkers make a civic stand out more cuz no other civic in my po dunk to has sidemarkers, last I checked. It makes it look kinda like a vdub or a audi.

I was thinking about doing this too. I have a black 99 coupe with jdm style headlights. My turn signal lights are hyper white so I think I will go clear sides with amber bulbs. I don't like the amber housing. If you take your time and don't push on the sheet metal you can do this yourself. I did it on my protege I used to have, before I got a real car. If your car is at a body shop you might want to do it before you get the car done.
