Sidemount Intercooler Question

I have a 88 CRX and have a sidemount where does everyone have there sidemount at?

well, depends where you got the intercooler out of. If it was out of lets say a 300zx, you would have to do some cutting to get it to fit in a 88 crx...obviously and intercooler wasnt meant to fit on the honda...let alone a sidemount

i have seen them bost in the center openinf, tucked off to the side, but like banzai said, you have to make it fit

fit it wherever you can lol. usually in the fender well area is where i see them but anywhere will work basically. mount it on top of your hood!!!

get a front mount intercooler, dissapates heat much better cuz the airflow.

I'd go with a front mount d00d. Dont so a side mount. Not only will you get looks but you will get performance and you could also but in a ntercooler system in there as well to help remove the heat.

I like sidemounts..

while technically the front mount will give better performance, it is a very very small portion of the equation and you really wont notice a difference.

plus you can modify your bumper/mudguard to get more flow in.

Front mounts will actually cause more turbo lag Less piping=faster turbo spool.

i've test fit a 2g eclipse one in the passenger fenderwell of my 89. perfect fit, just need a holesaw to run piping.

incorrect you are....but on a very rare cause you could be correct..low boost (8lbs) will be supported fine by a side mount.
