SiR Cupholders + Blockoff. Yes or No?

Alright, got a question about the SiR pop out cupholders. These are the ones I'm referring to:

My question is, the opening above the cupholders. What would look better there? The stock cubie pocket where people relocate their radio? Or would this fit?
Would the block off plate even fit in the open space?

Thanks!!

oh shoot, I should have mentioned this, the radio is not going down there. my in-dash is staying where it belongs. so I'm looking for options to fill the hole down there

this wont fit in the cupholder. i think your only option is the stock cubby or a DIY blockoff plate.

The blockoff plate won't fit and those cupholders actually aren't from the just an SiR.

The USDM '96-'98 Civics also have a cubby that sits there. If he wants one he could probably get one for about $15 from a junkyard here.

Alright, I'm just asking, cause the guy I bought from on HT said he was planning on using the blockoff. I have the cubbie from the stock cuplholders in my 98, so I"ll just pop that out and use it on this one. thanks for the help!

Correction for all of you.... the OEM blockoff plate will work.... with modification. I know cause I had mine down there acting as a switch panel. Looked cool wish I had pics :(

Still won't fit as it is though. Almost anything can work with modification.

no problem. thanks for the heads up though about it working, exactly how much modification was it? I'll just throw the stock cubie pocket back in there for now.

Just took off a few clips most of that plastic in the back (the criss crossing stuff, lol) then I used a 2 part epoxy or something, cant remember what, looked neat

yup.. jdm cupholders... but like amy said it won't fit there.... but like sanything it can be made to fit.. but kind of defeats the purpose and pointless imo since the opening is useful.

best bet is to relocate your radio/deck below... better for antitheft and gives it a cleaner look.
you don't need other peices from honda to relocate like others state either...
here look at mine.

well like I said above, I'm not relocating anything. for beginners, I have a 7" in dash tv/dvd/cd/sd player. secondly for theft, my car doesn't leave the garage, and if it does, it doesn't sit over night out in the open. I'll just use the cubie pocket for now to fill the hole, and maybe get a blockoff for later use.

okay bud.. just input... i didn't read each and eveyr single line...

but heres my opinion.. keep the cubby, its usefull
imo putting a block off plate there would be a waste of money time, and space.
esp considering you won't even be able to see it that clear for where it is on the bottom.
if your going to makee use of the block off plate with switches etc sure.

in the end ur car, so what u care what others think - just do whatever

but too much thought for something thats not going to even be that visible.

keep the cubby - your stock one will bolt up to those if u don't have the jdm cubby

no bad feelings man. I just posted that it wasn't getting relocated but everybody still said that. Money isn't an issue, the blockoff is only $18. I just thought the blockoff might look better then the open cubie. But I'm just going to throw the cubbie in for now. I'd use it for some switches, but they are already wired up in the little change tray below the steering wheel! thanks again for the input man.

Jesus.... so it you want it down there, you better want it bad and you better not want to use the parts it's attached to again.
