Hello everybody. I´m about to buy a 6th generation SiR II B16A to swap into my 99 ej6 (correct chassis code?). I was just wondering what little problems I can look forward to before the swap to shorten the duration of me being without a car. If its anything to you, the motor has been equipped with AEM adjustable cam gears and MSD 6AL ignition.

Here are my q´s:
1) I already know that the swap is a strait forward drop, but should I get new urethane motor mounts iin favor of the stock rubber ones which can wear out?

2) Will the location of the exhaust manifold flange meet my aftermarket exhaust or will I need to get a proper header?

3) A general question, what immediate tuning needs will there be that I can address before the swap?

4) For anybody who has done this swap or know about it, what kind of numbers can I expect besides the

-Thanks for any advice or wisdom in advance.
-Carl

well, it would be a good idea to motor mounts, the header will connect fine, when getting a motor wit unknown mileage or high mileage, always change the timing belt, get new plug wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor. and the fourth question, you didnt finish your question. also, dont be like some idots who get rice happy and doing stupid shiet like racing or driving it hard right away, you gotta break in the motor. i seen too many people think they are hardcore cause they just drop a motor and start pumping up on people and racing right away, then couple months later, their motor starts having problems.

by the way, how much did you get the complete setup for?

everything should drop right in, you've got a 99 so i don't even think you'll need the motor mounts

with the mods you listed, between 15.0-15.5 depending on driver. if you throw on some aftermarket header and some good driving you will get into the 14s.
