anyone here have the skunk2 coilovers made for an integra on their civic coupe or hatch?

after talking with customer service at skunk2 today, i think i need to go with the integra application because i plan on swapping to a b18 in the near future

my question is, beside a harsh ride .. will there be any other negatives to having the stiffer springs on before i swap?

it seems to me that you are not planning on changing your stocks shocks. with coilovers, your stock shocks life shorten, i suggest if your going coils, then go full like the tein ss where you can adjust the firmness of the ride. but if you want to keep you stocks then i suggest go with lowering springs like H&R eibach, etc. and also go to carreview.com and look for what other people have said about the products, i didnt listen and got the skunk2, but i kept hitting my head up top, so i got rid of it. i give you props for doing your research. hopefully you find what your looking for.

i guess i didnt make my intentions clear in my first post so ill explain now ..

im definately getting either coilovers and struts or full coilovers, right now im doing the research on both and trying to decide what is the best for my particular needs

the reason why i dont like the tein ss is because the spring rate is too low (268 in the front i think) and if i ever got an engine swap i would be screwed with that setup

i dont know if this helps, but when i bought my hatch, it had the b18 swap, and ITR axles w/ 5 lug conversion...

the guy that owned it before me had the skunk 2 coilovers on them, but before i bought it, he raised the height up again for shipping....

anyways, i thought it was stock since it rode so smooth...i got it slammed now, and its the best suspension ive ever ridden on, i definatly reccomend going with it

do you know which if you have the civic or the integra skunk2's? also, when you say its the best suspension do you mean that its stiff and handles really well or that it rides really nice even when slammed?

im pretty sure its for the integra....id have to find out for sure though

and by the best, i mean that ive ridden around in alot of lowered cars, both springs, and coilovers, alot of them not even near as low as my hatch....the Skunks are by far the best, meaning its not to stiff and bouncy, but it still handles awesome....and even though im tuckin tire in the front on 15" rims, i dont ever scrape on anything, and i dont go bouncin around on every tiny little bump in the road

and as far as handling, its a dream

im just concerned what the ride would be like before i get my engine, the extra stiffness in the integra rate springs would prolly make the ride pretty bouncy .. can you find out for sure which application you have? the spring rate should be on the spring itself .. a 10 at the end of the number on the front springs would indicate the integra rate, an 8 would indicate the civic rate
