Skunk2 throttle body problem

I hade a Skunk2 74mm B-Series Black Series Throttle Body istaled on my B18c5 engine but i got 6hp les then with my Spoon 70mm Venturi Throttle Body any one have an idé wy? its done the right way with fuel and every thing, iam using a Mugen Pro Series Intake Manifold.

Bigger isn't better unless you have the correct set up going further down the line. You'll need a cam upgrade and a tune for your engine to know what to do with more air. You'll probably see even better gains going smaller yet. Bet you a cheeseburger.

is your intake manifold port matched to the larger throttle body? If not, all you did was create a wall for air to hit on its way into the intake manifold. DIsrupted airflow is not a good thing and can ruin whp gains.

So is that a yes? The bigger TB you have will match correctly to the IM you have? No "walls" as CHILD has said? I'm new to the Honda world but have been big in the scene for many other vehicles. I assume like any other popular tuner, you have to make ECU/timing corrections to see better gains. Just throwing parts in your engine bay with out a tune will not be enough. In most cases, you're going to start working backwards once you reach the wall of your factory tune. In your mod list, I saw nothing by way of an EMS or "tuned by X company". Worth the money IMO.
