skunky civic 2011

[skunky2011civic]

i have a 2011 civic that is about 5 months old. it has had a skunky smell coming from the ventilation system since i bought the car. the honda dealer has ionized the car twice, and now that ionization smell is combined with the skunk smell. honda America has been contacted, by me, and they are siding with the dealer, stating that the car is mechanically sound.

have you experienced this smell and if so, what did you do to resolve it?

Did you hit a skunk? I don't know what to tell you, I haven't heard of anyone else with that problem. Contact Skunk2 and tell them you have a project car for them.

Lol at the skunk2 post. The smell of straight exhaust or burning new gaskets can have a kinda "skunky" smell I guess, mine did when I rebuilt the engine but I'm sure they musta checked for exhaust leaks and I don't get why it'd be coming though the vents. How many miles on it? Are u sure you didn't hit something and have it stuck somewhere on ur car?

maybe a skunk was hit. when my sister hit a skunk in her old hyundai it had a skunky smell from the vents for a few weeks.

use tomatoe sauce every where except interior lol

Pour 1/3 can of tomato sauce in your gas tank, 1/3 in your crankcase, and suck the rest up your brake booster vacuum hose. That'll clean all skunk deposits from your engine.

In all seriousness though, sorry about your smell dude. The only skunky smell that comes from my civic is if I'm burning some bomb-ass marijuana in that b***h! Wish you the best of luck though.
