hey guys, i found this guy on another forum and he has an S14 240sx (95-98) with an R34 NEO RB25DET motor in it (same motor i have) and found a vid of him on a dyno.... he made 587whp on stock internals... one of these links should work.... the last 2 you have to click, the first one is right click and save i believe... i hope one of these work, they all worked for me...

to be honest, not far at all, jus got the wires out and sent out to mckinney motorsports... then gotta wait for the wires to come back along iwth the motor mounts so we can mount hte motor in my car... then it's gotta sit there till i got all the other s**t (radiator, fans, downpipe, driveshaft, FMIC, and a shitload of other stuff)... then of course i gotta get my exhaust, turbo timer, boost controller, bov, gauges... then alot of crap on my car to be fixed (rust spots on the back) and BLAH... yes yes, owie, my wallet hurts

i didnt think the swap worked right with a 240? wow i was thinkn of gettin a 240 a while back since ther rwd, and that really impresses me

got damn, no wonder i liked 240s so damn much, that is a sick swap, stock internals and that much power, i think i gonna shat myself, sick s**t.

from an R34 or R33? Most people that do RB25DET swaps are typically using R33's cuz they're easier to work with and there's more swap support and info for those... the R34's are pretty different cuz of hte NEO system that guy, and I have... it's basically a skyline with a new VTEC kinda thing... and the rods are thickers and pistons are stronger (supposingly).. lol... so yeah... also the R34 rb25's are alot harder to find.... bascially they can take more s**t than the R33 rb25's... I jus lucked out cuz my mechanic had one in his warehouse.

they dont, I have to get custom motor mounts to make the motor sit lower and back more, since it's a 6cyl and a 240sx is 4 cyl... also I have to get a custom drivershaft made to fit, and you have to cut and weld some stuff... also the 240sx and skyline wires have to either be spliced to you have to use a programmable ecu like a microtech system (guy in the vid used that)... jus a bunch of custom stuff, but it's possible... jus not as clean as honda swaps n stuff

why didnt u go witht the sr20det blacktop? its easier and pretty sick for the price most shops are asking?

RB motor's have more potential, iron cast blocks... they can take alot of s**t and alot of boost, I'm planning on making big power and eventually enter in competitions at the tracks so ya... and besides, I've only found 1 other person so far with an R34 neo rb25det... lol so it's rare, and hopefully that'll make the resell value go up... the sr20det's are pretty common so i dont really want it... also, my motor can handle 600-700 HP on stock internals, sr20 can't
