I've got a 98 coupe with the slushbox automatic, anybody know how much power those things can handle? the tranny is a year old and the fluid looks burned already and the only mod is a short ram intake
are the DX and EX trannies any different cuz ive got the crap DX? also anyone out there use redline gear oil? i know they make ATF and was considering using it
ive been researching the tranny differences, but there isnt much info bout them. but they have different part#'s, so im pretty sure they are different, just dont know why or how. i would suggest an upgraded torque converter, level10 and TCI are some of the companies that handle auto hondas
thanks for the help, but i have one other question though, could i hook up a fluid cooler to that tranny? my friend had a 90 DX sedan that looked like it had a tranny cooler or maybe it was an oil cooler but any help would be appreciated.
you already have a trans cooler if you didnt know. lok at the bottom of your radiator, you should see 2 small tubes there that trace to the trans. but you could always upgrade if you wanted.
thanks for the help, ive ordered a new cooler and slim fan cuz there isnt much room for the cooler w/ stock fan. hopefully the fluid will last longer and I now know not to buy another Honda automatic tranny car or use Honda ATF, go Redline all the way!
