smelly interior?

The civic I just recently bought has been sitting for awhile. I think with it sitting in the sun and not getting aired out, the interior has kind of picked up a smell. Not sure how to go about getting rid of this?

I keep a bucket of damp rid on the floor of me backseat from the humidity here in Florida.

I would invest in some good febreeze, damp rid, and a yankee candle air freshener

Shampoo the seats and carpet with one of those steamers
Febreeze the s**t out of your car
Make sure there are no holes in the firewall or undercarriage for some reason for bugs and rodents to enter through.
Grab a sun-shade if you haven't already
Febreeze again and again.

Can you describe what kind of smell it is? Humidity, cigarette, rotten food?

It wouldnt be a bad idea to disassemble the interior to clean under the panels & carpetting, You may be surprised at how much debris or smoke ash can get trapped under all that.
