when I started modding cars at the tender age of 16 I atleast hid the wires, went out and bought an enclosure and put the amp on the enclosure. and used no duct tape.

i just had two tower speakers in my trunk wired into the rear speakers. Hee YeAH!!

my friends skylark only had an am radio so he just hooked cd speakers into a portable cd player and stuck them between the windshield and the dash, that thing thumped!

Haha, I've seen some pretty weird stuff at the shop I work at too. The other day a kid brought in an Oldsmobile and wanted his amp rewired after he had ran the power through the door jamb, RCA's and remote wire over the carpet over the top of the seats and the trunk was worse. He had a box for two 10s that burned and the burnt amp was still on top of the box, most of the carpeting burned off, so he dropped some new Dual 10 inch woofers into it and hooked up a Dual amp to them. I was the lucky one that had to work on this car. Some people are nuts...
