oh man, i see you are going to have a hard time with this one!!
there is no such thing as getting a "chipp" and tadaaaa your car is tuned!!
not everyy set-up is the same, and u have to tune for the differences.
first off the block will hold as much power as the internals will allow..and don't be scared by boost #'s. (worry about HP, because different size turbos will make differnt amounts of HP per pound of boost !!
so someone with a smaller turbo might run 20psi ( but is only making about 200whp).. but here u are with a T67 and u hear this guy saying i run 20 psi all day long yada yada.. does this mean it's safe for YOU to run 20psi ( because u might make 2 x's the WHP on 20psi and kaaablewieee)..
so it's like this,, build your car, turbo it with quality/pruven parts ( these can be cheap, so u don't brake your pockets, just be smart in your choices).. DOOO NOTTT CUT CORNERS!! and GET IT TUNEDDD!!
a GOOOOOD tuner will know whats the motor's limit and whats good for you driving style!!
GOODLUCK!!!
PS: chipped ECUs are cheap and they work once the Tuner makes the proper tweeks for yourrr set up, i think the only down side is that they don't datalog!!... i'm on a chipped ECU with eCtune and made well over 400whp on PUMP gas ,, and they car drives like a stock SOHC on the highway with 1000cc injectors!! GET IT TUNEDDDDDD!!!!
PPS: GET A WIDEBAND!!! only way to truly know your car is tuner good!! because u can monitor it!! coz a "tuner" can take your $$ and just say here you go!! and you are 15:1 A/F in boost and 10:1 at idle!! (( the higher the #'s the leaner the car is ,, lower the # the richer---- u wanna be rich in boost and lean at idle))not the other way around or anywhere in between
