Some relocation, and a new toy!

Well, I baught some 96-98 cupholders off uren98ed about a month ago, but didnt bother using them b/c my headunit took a crap on me. So, for V-day my fiancee bought me a new head unut. So, today I figured I'd relocate it down below. No more hissing/poping when changing stations, and my volume actually works now! Lemme know what you guys think! *Sorry about the blurry pics*

its not bad. The headunit sure is nice. I had mine relocated down there for a while, but I realized its really not functional at all. When you have drinks in there, its impossible to change anything on the cd player.

looks great to me bro..! I might be doing this tonight, I think it looks realy clean with the install.

iPod hookup FTW....never have to touch the cd player...

^^ exactly.. I use my remote, and I dont really use hardly anything other than my ipod with it. I also have mine modified so that when the cupholder lid is up, it doesnt hit the knobs.

No, they make pockets.. I dont know what trim they came on, but I think they came on 96-98 CX/DX, the ones that didnt come with a cd player came with a pocket.. atleast when i got my first set of cupholders they came with a pocket. I think itll fit up top too..

Infact, I think you might be able to install it on the top, but you might have to take the climate control to install it.

exactly what im talking about...they also came in the LX's. SO...I think maybe later tonight, i'll try the relocationa nd while im at it...i'll see if that lil sleeve/pocket fits where the radio was.

nice, i did the the diy lid removal tho on my relocation, just cuz that lid gets in the way alot.

it'll fit but, wont look right. i have a pullout cupholder/ storage drawer that will work in the hole if your interested. its some part i have from japan. my cousin was going to use it but, put his headunit back up top because he didn't have a remote. let me know if interested.

i may take the lid off my cupholder as well but, i'm trying to hold out and see if maybe i can get a jdm cupholder.

Nice, one of my fav mods. My HU is old, so no remote which makes it tricky having to mess around down there by the stick shift.

Any ideas what you're gonna use the upper din for?

Im getting a OEM dual-din blockoff plate from sk8teshorty, but once I get ahold of some guages, Im gonna put some guages, and a 96-98 OEM clock in.
