Sound Exposure Ratings

Here's a chart that lists the maximum exposure times for sound pressure levels without damaging your ear. The OSHA ratings in the middle were based on research done by the House Ear Institute in the 1940's, and is still used today. The ISO ratings on the bottom are based off current research and follows 3dB "equal energy".

OSHA level, dBA 90 95 100 105 110 115

ISO level, dBA 85 88 91 94 97 100
