do not mess with the idle screw. messing with the idle screw may cause the engine idle to be off.

check if you tightend the screws tightly, there might be a leek somewhere making the noise

dont mess with the idle screw...that would be stupid...make sure you have it it tightened down enough, and otherwise, just enjoy the sound....CAI gives you a deeper sound, till it hits vtec, and SRI gives your more of a higher pitched sound you will hear it more because its high up in the engine bay which means its closer to you...

i believe its from when u accelerate the TB hasnt opened fully at low speeds therefore the lil gap in the tb sucks air in making a whistling noise. which is wut i got. i dont hear any other cars out on the street w/ the same noise.

Does it happen around 3500-4500 and sound like a sustained high pitched whistle? Does it only happen when you press on the throttle and quiets down after about 4500 or when you ease off of the throttle? :?:

I fitted an air intake to my Civic about 4 months ago. It makes the same noise as u describe. It has not done my car any damage. Do u have an aftermarket exhaust fitted?
I still have the origional exhaust fitted and i thought it may be caused by the fact that the engine is sucking air in faster than it is getting rid of it through the exhaust, and hence causing a whistle noise as the air gets pushed back.

Do you mean FAST CAR magazine. If you like it should check out www.maxpower.co.uk. Yeah, i think what i described is possible, however u would think that the engine would only suck air as much as the valves let it. Im really not sure what it is but have often wondered.
