sound problem help

Having problem i have a new mtx thunder amp and mtx 12 inch sub and alpine deck wired to it have the deck volume no higher than 17 ill be cruzing down the road listening to my song then the sub cuts out im like what the f**k so i keep driving it turns on again the shuts off on off im like what the f**k so i took it back to circut city where i got it installed and they said im playing it to loud and the amp can't handle it its not really that loud i think but they were like too it could also be because of my playing low sound rating download media files on it i was lie who cares it dose it when i listen to i real cd i don't know whats going on here ?????i think thers something wrong with the amp but thats just me and they won't give me a new one???every thing has a warranty on it for like 5 years or something too.Any imput ... thanks

my friends system did that before,. i have no idea what he did to it to make it work though. does the amp go into protection mode when it cuts out?

I would say that they have it bridged and its going into thermal protect. Did you buy one of those mtx packages at circuit city, cuz if you did, its going into thermal protect cuz the amp isnt big enough to run the subs

thanks guys,-i bought the stuff seprate but i guess that could be whats happening that pisses me the f**k off the the sub and hold more that the amps putting out so i dodn't know ,now i have to get a bigger amp??

maybe you should find out what the RMS wattage of the subs and the amp you have are, and go from there. I don't know if you can go back to Circuit City to get anything accomplished, but being educated about your own equipment is a good start. =)

my buddies did that.. check ur fuse connection... or could be a bad amp... my s**t just went out...
