Sound System Questions

Hey guys, I'm planning on replacing all the speakers and adding an amp in my girl's car and have a couple of questions:

#1: Are there any write ups on replacing the door tweeters and the rear speaker. If so, I would really appreciate a link hook up.

#2: Where would be the best place to run a the power wire through the firewall for the amp.

Any help would really be cool.

Thanks in advance!!!

As for the power wire, there are many rubber plugs or gromets in the fire wall that pop out. You can run the power wire through one. The easiest one to use is on the driver side. It pops out really easy its about the size of a quarter.

No need for a write up really. Changing out speakers is very easy. My guess would be you take the door panel off, put in the new tweeter, then put the door panel back on. Haven't worked with door tweeters so I may be wrong with removing the door panel. They may just pop out?

In the rear, the speakers should come out from the top. In my 5th gen I had to remove the shelf cover to get to them. Once you do, it is just unmounting the old, then remounting the new ones.

if the speakers arent plugin then youll have to run speaker wire to the back of her headunit or you may be able to wire them into the stock harness, not sure on that one.....and i think the tweeters are in a pod mounted by the side mirrors....im guessing the pod is just held in by clips so it should pop right off....and theres also a grommet down under the glove box too (closer to your battery so you wont have a power wire going across yor engine bay)
