Hi, i have made a full engine clean service, down side and up side by pressure thing or something... and when i turn my civic to go back to home i noticed, that it start to sound like a robot... it is like when two cats are fighting but it depends on the aceleration... like when you put it on reverse, but a litle higher... what can be happening?

Let me see if this what you're trying to say...

So you had your engine cleaned and now it's making "robot" noises similar to when you put in reverse but higher pitched?

Yes, as more as i accelerate the car, it makes like higher rpm robot sound or cat thing... "meeeeeow [small push] -> meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew [longer to 2000 rpm] (for example)"

I'm sorry but this is freakin hilarious :rolf:.

Is the car bogging/hesitating or anything noticeable with the performance in general? Any CEL's?

Perhaps you are mistaking the noise for a belt squeal?

Well...
no, it isnt making a belt noise... but it have a few little problems, but as i know them all, im not worried about them, i will fix them little by little, but this problem i dont know what can be happening...
the sound is like a electronic rotating noise, more like a combination of Electric Motor and the arm of terminator moving at the first movie... is robotic, i can tell... for sure... i mean, obviously is not a robot my civic, but the sound is like that... >.> and it have started after i clean it (the engine)...

---- My car have an oscilating behavior since y bought it (like 6 month, and i have spend more than US$ 1100 in that f....ng! a..hole!, just in the engine, now with a robotic strange thing... >.>)... well, the oscilating thing, i think its a transmission problem and im going to check it in a few months because it is a little spensive like US$ 390, they said... and i want to fix priority things first (i know transmission is priority, but the engine is first)

NOTE: before i clean the engine just the day before, i've changed the distributor "little black ring (i dont know the name exactly)" because it was throwing engine oil by the left side and as i suspected that was the problem and never egaing throw any engine oil... im telling you this, because after i change it, i dont notice any change at the performance, but after i clean it and with all the robotic thing, then i notice an important change on the performance... i get to my home, and then go to the work again and the civic getting out of my garage make like a little "burnout?" just before it gets to the asfalt, and i can tell, it never did it before... including that i can feel the strenght...

btw, what can be the robotic sound?, im afraid that the engine blow away at any moment, i know it is not to loud, and the temperature is cooler than before... but its not right...

when you installed the new o-ring did you put the distributor back to the correct spot?

Yes.
well... it was exactly at the center of the slot but like 2 mms nearer to me, i put it then exactly at the center suspecting it was better like that... jeje <.<

but, do you think it could cause any change...??? i dont think so... i don't really know, but i think it doesnt matter where you tight the screw...

i tried to tight it exactly in the center... thats it...

Are you absolutely sure that you're car isn't a Decepticon?

I have never heard a sound described like that. Glad you found the solution. How would washing the engine cause a dizzy screw to come loose?

>.> Ha ha ha ...
but hey guys ..! I have bad news ... the noise continues ... : (When I go to a mechanic to get my car, after having written that had already been solved ... :D (by phone because he said he had found the problem and that was it, the twang of the distributor in the wrong place. ..), but anyway ... when i arrived, i realized that the problem persisted, and specify that the cat noise was tHAT ..! and he told me to rotate the steering wheel and when I did it sounded higher "meeeeeow", then I said STUPID is simply the power pump hydraulic to the rack that makes the tires turn ...>.>

He said I have to take to fix the rack and the hydraulic pump ... and that my brakes rotors are super f**ked... i have to spend too much money on this car i see :(

so, the Power Steering Pump, ok? !!!
