speaker crackling noise

I recently re installed my speakers and amp. I removed my amp when my car was impounded cuz I didn't want cleatus (this guy had less braincells than teeth and he didn't have many teeth) to jack my s**t since I didn't have my amp permanently mounted yet. So i reinstalled the amp and checked all my speaker connections and also re-ran my crossovers and power wire perpendicular (so no interference).

Now heres the dilema when I play the System of a Down CD, Mezmorize, I get a lot of noise and crackling especially when their guitarist, Daron, sings. Now he has an off beat high voice so I was wondering if its just the frequency there music is played at is causing this. I put in three other cds since:DJ Dangermouse, The Grey Album; Trivium, Ember to Inferno; and DJ Doboy Vocal Mix Volume 5. (Odd combo but what can I say) The only other cd to have the slightest amount of noise is the Trivium (metal) CD.

Oh something else that would help is I'm running Polk db 6.5's and a Polk Momo amp C400.4 400 watt amp. And I have everything set to the "medium" setting.

I'm just wondering if my speakers arent up to the challenge? Thats the best conclusion I can come up w/. Any other input would be appreciated. If telling you the gauge wire im using would help I can find it out but thats in the garage and the garage is far... like 20-25 feet hahahaha.

Thanx in advance.

If there wasnt a problem before, I dont see why your power lead would be a problem now (unless cleatus f**ked with it).....

but if you are only having trouble with a CD or 2, I wouldnt think its the system at all.
