Alright well im thinking about getting some new speakers for the doors and above the rear seats in my 99 ex coupe. I want something that sounds real clear and also has a lil bump. Im not into the Subwoofer seen anymore. What do you guys recommend? And just an FYI, incase it matters, I am just going to be using an OEM 99-00 civic Si cd player.

6x9 kickers 2 way they are a pretty good substitute for subs and three way pionners for the front maybe i dont know thats my setup but i hardly hear the fronts now that the kickers are in the rear.

that's a very small budget..for now though i'd get some good components for the fronts such as these..

keep the stocks in the rear for now and upgrade those later with some pioneer 6x9 2 ways such as these

i would HIGHLY suggest you amp the speakers though..if you aren't planning on amping them..stay with the stocks..think of it as going with a aftermarket header and leaving the stock exhaust on

here's a great amp for them..

the amp is a bit pricey but it's best to do it the right way now..or not do it at all...

another thing i forgot to mention..if you end up getting the components for up front..it would be good to get some dynamat for the front doors and rear deck..it'll really make those speakers shine

if your budget is that low....then like alpine type-s components which run around 130. But I mean if you want to play.....then either alpine type-r or infinity kappa.

well i guess im a bit late but ill say it again anywayz=).. you cant go wrong with infinity or alpine, both have amazing sound quality with a little bump and i highly recommend you get an amp and a deck. Most decks only push out 15 W RMS per channel and those speakers are like 60 - 80 rms. so trust me it'll sound much better with an amp.
