speaker size? help

anyone know the size of the front door speaker? i need to buy some but i dont wanna buy the wrong size and i keep seeing sites with different sizes on there charts. oh yeah its for a 2000 civic hatch.

would you be willing to do any modification to the mounting area? it pretty much limits your choices if you arent willing to cut out a little..............

6.5" in the doors, but there is a clearance issue when you get into higher end, deeper speakers. usually you just have to cut out the back of the speaker holder. depending on the depth of the speakers, you may have to make a mdf spacer to clear the window

i'm just lookin for some basic speakers, so 6 1/2 will fit right?

Yup, some 6.5's will drop right in, but double check your depths! I had to cut out a lot to get my MB Quart in.
