speaker truoble

I have some 6 1/2 speakers for my ek but they don't fit due to the magnet. what will fit?

i had this problem to, so i just cut out the plastic part in the door and they fit fine, no trouble with the window hitting either

they make "shallow mount" speakers to fit our applications... regular depth 6-1/2's wont fit without modification.

cut the door...its easy...and 6.5s sound so much better than 5.25s...IMO...

i'm buying infinity components, friend has them they sound fuking AWSOME yes. my car is a 93, but my dads is a 98 and i mess around with his car alot hehe

i have 5.25 components. we knew the 6.5s wouldn't fit, especially the type Rs.

it's a hatch huh? cuz I know 6.5's fit in the sedans cuz I had one, hmmm, cut out the stuff behind man it'll be worth it for 6.5's

depends on the speaker, man.

i have a 96 sedan, and 6.5s don't fit in my doors... at least, alpine type r 6.5s don't fit. could probably find a speaker with a smaller magnet.
