So my speedometer has been below 0 since i bought my car 2 days ago. I have a 96 ek. I thought it was just the sensor that was bad. When i went to see the sensor, i noticed that there wasnt a wire plugged into it. I checked everywhere! Either im going crazy and theres no wire or there is but i didnt check right. Where is the wire supposed to be coming from, please post pics. This is basically what i see but without the wire coming out of it...

HELPPPP!! PLZ

There's a female and male socket. There should be a wiring connector that clicks into the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) If you see both parts of plastic (if you can disconnect one piece from the other) then someone has cut the wires, for whatever reason. Chances are it may have been unplugged and is just lurking around your engine bay. Sounds strange I know but it happens. Follow the wires above your transmission and look for one that ends in a wiring connector that isn't plugged into anything. lol
